Viloria waved to fans at City Hall as he prepared to take part in a motorcade in his honor, radio dzBB's Carlo Mateo reported. An updated report Tuesday noon said Viloria and his wife Erica joined a motorcade around Manila. The motorcade was Viloria's way of thanking Filipinos for their support. Last November 17 (November 18, PHL time), Viloria, 31, unified the world flyweight title after besting Hernan Tyson Marquez, 24, in Los Angeles. In that bout, Viloria knocked down Marquez three times, the last coming in the 10th round. He also improved his professional record to 32-3. Viloria returned to the Philippines last Saturday, but said that he plans to fly back to Hawaii before the end of the week for rest and recreation. The fighter who goes by the nickname "Hawaiian Punch," also responded to reports that Marquez wanted a rematch, saying, "I don't see the point," in an interview on dzBB radio. - AMD, GMA News www.gmanetwork.com/news/story/283956/sports/boxing/viloria-gets-warm-welcome-motorcade-at-manila-city-hall?ref=related_stories_top
