Fame is hypnotic, but power is addictive.
If Manny wins his election, expect him to fight Mayweather this year and retire from boxing.
I don't think the people will allow Manny to be a part time politician, no matter how famous a boxer he is.
If Manny loses his election, expect Arum to continue to match him with standbys, Mayweather will never fight him.
If Freddy and Bob is serious about making Manny into the greatest current boxer of all time, Manny should be going for his 8th record breaking titles.
For the remaider of the year, Brian will be fighting 5 journeymans to hone his skills and confidence, similar to his last comeback. By next year, Brian will win his 3rd world title in the flyweight division.
Expect Arum to continue to spoon feed Donaire C boxers, so he will continue to have the credibility of headlining Pinoy series. If Nonito loses against C boxers, expect Arum to shutdown Pinoy Power series.
Brian will continue to fight in the Philippines to help stimulate the economy. He will continue to head line fights and introduce new world clblush boxing talent as they develop. As these boxers gain fame and experience, they will fight abroad. As they continue to win, they next step is the Pinoy Power series format.
Pinoy Power format series will be used to showcase established Pinoy boxers in the US who are trying to make a name from themselves. Melligen is being given double exposure not only because of his weight but as a substitute to headline the Pinoy series if and when Nonito loses a fight to a C boxer.
Brian and Nonito both a function to fulfill. Because Arum gives the green light to Brian to fight A boxers, Brian is being groomed as Manny's heir apparent.

Being proclaimed as Manny's heir apparent is very subjective:
How do judge the next proclaimed heir apparent? By his past accomplishment in boxing, out side of boxing?, how popular he is ? what accomplishment he has done? Whether he fights for the flag, whether he is a 'local' talent as oppose to one who is born in the US or raised in the US?
If Gerry Penalosa was younger and plan to be active; by virtue of his 2 plus world titles and accomplishment is would be him.
The local talents: Mayol, Sonsona, Neites, Julaton and Casimero are current champions and ex champions can also be clblushified as the up and coming heir apparents. Even Tunacao and Condes are still in the running if they restart their championship run again. With only one title in their belt, the male boxers need at least another title to be in the running. Even though Julaton is a female boxer with 2 titles, she still need more world titles to keep up with Fil-Ams: Brian and Nonito to stay in the race for glory.
So that brings us to Brian and Nonito. Both accomplished Fil-Ams with 2 world titles. Brian was born in Hawaii, raised in Ilocos Sur and Hawaii, won several US National titles with over 230 amauter wins. First Fil-Am to represent the US in the olympics. A 2 time ex former world champion boxer who fought won and fought clblush A boxers. As a US champion, he has gone back to the Philippines to stimulate the country's economy help introduce up and and coming world clblush boxing talents to the nation by headlining the fights.
Nonito was born in the Bohol, raised in Philippines and California. He was an olympian substitute to Brian for the US olympics and also won 2 US National titles. After his brilliant victory of defeat of Vic to earn his 1st title, he remains unbeaten by fighting clblush C opponents, and currently headlines the Pinoy Power series.
Manny continues to go up the ranks and fight A boxers. He doesn't cherry pick his opponents just to pad his victories. He continues to fight current current and ex champions. To be considered a heir apparent, you have to be an aggressive offensive boxer who doesn't run and ride the bicycle during the majority of the fight. He doesn't fight boxers with 2 titles and win two titles by fighting only world champion boxer. He earns it, not earn one, take one.
So the verdict is in. By virtue of accomplishments, and current strive to be the best there is only one true heir apparent its - Brian Viloria.
